The Celery Farm

The 107-acre freshwater wetland is a prime location for bird breeding and nesting. It is also home to chipmunks, rabbits, amphibians, and Canadian Geese. Hiking and biking trails are available, as well as areas for picnics and a playground for the kids. Dogs, however, are not permitted so be sure to leave your fur babies at home. 

Where Is The Celery Farm Located?

The Farm can be found at Franklin Turnpike, Allendale, NJ 07401. It is important to note that fishing, boating, littering, or operating any model aircraft or drones is prohibited. Feeding the area’s wildlife and picking any plants or flowers in the area is also prohibited. When visiting the area it is important to remember that we are, in fact, just that – visitors. And as such, we should be respectful and aware when visiting the area in order to preserve its natural state. 

What To Do At The Celery Farm?

There are plenty of footpaths for hiking, as well as biking. Take photos of the lush scenery that is all around you, or take a small break and have a picnic right there in the middle of nature’s gorgeous beauty that thrives here. And if you find yourself visiting in the fall months you will be greeted with stunning colors as the leaves begin to change their color. 

The Farm is also a wonderful place for the avid bird watcher. It is a sprawling sanctuary for more than 250 species that have been recorded. There are also three observation platforms and bird nesting boxes. The area is also known for its many butterflies, as well.

Sky Zone Trampoline Park is another attraction nearby that is sure to be fun. Bounce around or rack up high scores on your favorite arcade games, this is a great way to get the kids out of the house and active!
